i'm just about to start my 400ex swap with R motor. i have the frame and motor just need swingarm and axle so i can make sure the chain is lined up before the motor mounts are welded in

 

I dont really understand why you would do this unless you have a 250r broken frame and a blown 400 motor. Just buy a 250r and you will be better off. The 250r frame is actually a little better than the 400ex and it is already together.

 

but there are ***** and cons of each quad the 400ex handles better but the 250r has better geometery. i'm building mine for 2 resons i already have the exframe and 250r motor and how many people can actually say they did it. not many.
