Default New Quad - what must-have mods do I need?

Hey Guys,

Just purchased a 2014 Honda TRX400X. Just wondering what must-have mods should I get? Specifically do I need nerf bars, skid plate, bumper, etc?

Also should I get OEM honda or aftermarket?

I mainly ride through trails in the woods.

Skid plates under the rear sprocket/chain are a must.

I've found Ricochet makes better than OEM skid plates. Probably can be said for after market companies with Nerf bars, etc.

I agree. There is no more the 3" or so ground clearance under a sport ATVs rear chain sprocket but there are many hard rocks taller then 3". Problem is once you add a bottom sprocket guard you lose more ground clearance.

I like the disk type (top) vs the skid type (bottom) since it protects against rocks yet does not lose much if any ground clearance.
