Shave the cylinder head?

Shave the cylinder head?
I have a 1996 Honda foreman 400 TRX400FW. It’s runs great. But I’m wondering what I can do to add for power to it? I was thinking of shaving the head to increase compression ratio as it is, is 8.2:1. Using 93 octane wouldn’t be a big deal to me. But what could go wrong being that this is a small engine?
