ok, guys and girls, you all are wrong. I got the dang thing fixed already. it was too lean and wouldn't idle right. I cleaned it out and adjusted for my K&N and richened it up some and all is fine now. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

You didn't mention you'd just installed the K&amp;N. You also said, it's backfiring through the pipe, bad. Not, it's popping thru the pipe when I'm going down hills or when it's idling.

Obviously, since the Suzuki mechanic was also wrong, you may need to be more specific when describing a problem.

Hey, I have a 250R, we don't get stuck in mud holes -- because we don't go in them. We KNOW we'd never get out (unless some nice 4wd came along with a winch!).

Nice diagnostic job, Pam. Do you make your living fixing these bikes?
It is hard to &quot;pull&quot; the facts and symptoms out of the customer, isn't it?
Good luck avoiding those mud holes!

Nope, just selling parts for them!

I fix my own stuff, and enjoy learning how things work.
