K&N or UNI Filter?
#1
Fellow members, do you think there's a dramatic drop-off in preformance between the two above mentioned filters? I'm leaning towards the UNI, I use this in my pickup and have heard great things about UNI! Either way, I'm using Outerwears to go along with the filter.
I will be drilling four 2-1/2" holes in the top of my air box so this will make Outerwears a must...also the main jet goes up to 165 and the needle to it's richest setting and to be followed by a Supertrapp when they release there pipe. This application is for the 660 Grizz for those of you that might be interested and the info came from 4-Stroke Tech who also have a great cam/piston settup that some of you might be interested in.

First off, if your needles are in the richest setting, they are the wrong needles and/or needle jets for the application.
On the filter. Uni for areas with the potential for water invasion. K&N for dry areas. The K&N cannot stop water like a Uni.
