I was just wondering how hard it would be to put an 1100cc streetbike engine in a 500 frame? I don't know for sure if I want to yet, I have seen a couple around but never thought to ask how they did it.

There was an LT500 with a 583 Rotax in it at Silver Lake the last ime I was there. The 583 is 102HP stock. Dual pipes and porting will get you more.

I saw one that had a GSX1100 motor in it last spring while I was up at Oregon, I remember how clean the installation was so I asked the owner, he did say it wasn't to hard of an installation, but that he did have to make some minor motor mount changes and strengthen the frame in some places.

Sorry, that's the best info I can give you on it.

One other thing the gentleman did mention; because of the size motor and the power it had, it was only good for two things, sand dunes and drag racing.

I have seen that GSXR/500. I don't know if I want to do it, just a thought that went through my head.

I forget the guys name but the owner of Cascade has (had?) a LT1100. I think the bike is called Bruticis? I've seen it in DW a year or os ago. It may be worth a call up there, I think they are in Oregon?
