I'm looking for some flat trackers and info!
I would like to be ready for flat tracking in this spring and could use some info.
I'm putting together a banshee, and need some help on chassis set up!
Also would like some web site or series info any one could give me!
Thanks guys!!

hey gaff, I haven't had much luck with replies to flattracking posts here. I too am interested in flattrack racing. Check out www.allprocycles.com for a lowering kit for your Banshee. The kit comes with front shocks and an adjustable strut for the rear. Good luck with you racing.

An ideal setup for a banshee is Sway bar for the front,-2 swing arm in the rear, about a 2 or 3 degree camber adjustment on the a arms.If you lower the front to much it will push in the corners.Gearing depends on the length of the track.you should be tapped out in a gear at the end of the strait.A well geared machine doesnt need to be shifted so rou should be able to feather the clutch around the corner without shifting and maxed out at the end of the strait. Also you dont want to lower your rear swing arm past the level point.

CSPYY,
Gray is a suburb of houma, forty miles south of new orleans.
I can't remember the track you live by, but that is the one I have my eye on!
I'm hoping to be ready by spring, I've been working on the shee slowly, I have a 01 lakota sport I've taken a liken to and have been modding that out as well as a 89 XR-100 I'm finishing up to sell for mod money. I also have a mint 77XL-70 I just finished, but doubt I'll sell it just keep it for the neighbor kids (probably couldn't get much for that bike, and it's realy nice).
Also coaching the son on his 01 XR-80.
I have a long, long way to go on the shee!!
I plan on making a trip your way to catch a race and do some hunting in a couple of weeks, maybe I'll see you thier!
