You will probably hear how good this pipe is or that one is, but, it is a proven fact that a hand made pipe will out perform a stamped pipe. I personaly have a Trinity on my 86' LT and love it. It is a torque (low/mid) and made a difference over the Graydon Proline i had before. The companies I would look into for your 88' LT would be FTZ, CT or Trinity(made by same people from what they told me), Pual Turner, Graydon Proline, LRD, and I don't know if Aaen still makes pipes yet or not. Talk to whoever is doing your motor work and see what they say. My LT was built by Trinity so that ended up being the deciding factor. The finish you choose for your pipe will add to the price quite a bit. Show chrome is the must expensive, then Ceramic coated ( this is what I have because of the conditions I ride in, it looks good, and hasen't rusted yet in the year or so I've had it), then theres nickle plated or satin crome, painted, and unfinished. Do some reserch and talk to the companies before you make your decsion. Tell them your plans and ask for their suggestions.

Just what I found to work best for me.
