I was wondering if the CT 310kit was worth the money or would it be beter to buy a Pro-X cyl and head and have someone else do the porting?? What are Pro-X cyl and head worth ? and what are your experiences???

TrxR, I will personally recommend the CT Racing 310 KIT. I have one on my '89 Fourtrax R and it flat out cooks. A small bit of info--CT recommends AT LEAST a 50/50 mix of 110 oct and 93 oct for this kit. This is of course not a problem unless you WANT to run only pump gas. I run KLOTZ R50 premix at 36/1 ratio with the mix of Sunoco 110 and Shell 93. Visit CT RACING at www.ctracing.com. Feel free to E-MAIL me if you want to know any more.

You probably won't find a cheaper kit than CT since he helped develope the niks cylinder I believe he gets them below dealer cost. I have a niks/proX 330 cylinder with LRD porting and pipe. Let me tell you that its too much motor for most race tracks. I go to the dunes (silver lake) quite often and only the complete sand drag bikes ever beat me.
As far as reliability goes, It was raced at all 12 rounds of the GNC circut sometimes 2 classes, a handful of local races, dunes 4 times and many practice sessions, and now twice out on the frozen lakes. Guess what, same piston all year. LRD ceramic coats the top and teflon coats the sides.
Just remember you get what you pay for. Unless your sponsored.
