No do not try to epoxy it back on. That is your main jet. Was it tight and twisted off when trying to remove it?

Try going to the local mechanic or machine shop to use an "ez out". Don't damage the threads in the body or you may have to replace the carb.
Good Luck

It should back out. Being tight enough to twist off leads me to believe the threads were corroded or it was way over tightened to start with.

Well obviously you have no idea about carbs(not making fun, everybody has been there) Expand your knowledge by searching around on the net for Diagrams and info it wont take you very long to be somewhat of and expert on the basics of a carb. And if you think this is tough just wait untill you get into jetting and port times and all the rest of it that has to do with intake. ...but try Macdizzy his site has tons of twostroke info @ macdizzy.com
and yes that piece that "broke" off is supposed to come out. that is your main jet, it screws out and can be replaced/changed for different effects. try this site to further understand carbueration. www.ericgorr.com theres tons of twostroke info here
