will i lose any top end putting boyesen rad valves on my 99 banshee?? the stock ones have bigger openings while the rad valves are small probably aimed for low end power. has anybody noticed a change?? i plan on putting in 310 mains and chucking the airbox lid. i live 500 feet above sea level. i am also running toomey t-5s.

A few months back I posted the same question on the board so I'll tell you what I did after everyone advised me to. I went with the Boyeson Power Series dual stage reeds(I think they're Power and not Pro but they aren't carbon fiber since that doesn't last as long). I spent $48 for the set to equip both carbs. It made a little improvement over what I had but whatever was in it wasn't stock but they weren't Boyeson either. The Power series comes with its own rev plate that allows the reeds to open up more than stock and you may have to rejet the carb cause it can make it run a little richer but I didn't have to do mine. I asked about all the Rad and Ram Valves that are out today and everyone said to just get the Power series since the claims that rad and ram valves produce more power isn't true and many said that they had both and the Power reeds themselves out performed the Rads and Rams for far less money. Hope this helps.
