Ok, I know how a expansion chamber works, but how come a 2 stroke thats designed for a expansion chamber, you can feel the band come in but if you stick a expansion chamber on a older 2 stroke like an Enduro engine, it has no power band?? I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the difference is?

togh one not really specific enough. If the comp is between a mx and enduro the mx is designed for more raw open power , where as an enduro is built to be smooth and tractable for the woods. hope I helped

Depends realy what machine your talking about. The problem your talking about is a back pressure problem, being that if you lost power you don't have enough.
Years ago they had lower comp pistons in the enduro machines, later in the 80's usually the only real difference between MX and enduro 2 stroke machines was a heavier fly wheel to slow the rev and give it more even tourquable power.
