Spark Plug Check - Jetting
#1
Hi Guys,
If you have a minute would you take at a photo of my spark plug. I believe I'm fine, but I am considering going up one notch.
What do you think?? Is it OK that it's tan at the tip and white deeper into the plug??

2002 B/W Raptor
1) Yoshimura RS-3 Comp TEC Pipe
2) DynoJet Kit Stage II (seems to be working fine)
---a) 146/148 (screws 3 turns out on both carbs)
---b) 2 (1-3/4" holes in lid) with Uni-Vents in the holes.
---c) elevation: 900 ft.
---d) I run 92 or 93 octane fuel.
3) K&N Filter Charger (seems fine)

You're fine. if you have'nt raised your compression any, try 89 or even 87 octane and see if it runs better, I'm betting it will, the plug's will burn cleaner also, because the lower octane burns hotter and does'nt have all the additive's the high octane does, plus unless you run over 10.5-1 compression you don't need anything but regular.

I went ahead and bumped up a jet size to DynoJet 148/150 (4th Notch) instead of DynoJet 146/148 (4th Notch). It worked GREAT. I felt like I had a flat spot as I approached the shift points. It really helped to go in sizes. I am tempted to try one more step up, but the plug looks perfect rigt now. Thanks for everyones input.
