I use the prodesign with k&n and their outerwear and no lid, i ride in the dust all the time (sometimes it looks like the movie "the Mummy" out here) and routinely check engine and carbs, i never found anything that got past the filter, the k&n filter is huge barely fits inside my airbox but it flows great makes a big difference. the downside is water, it will wash mud past the filter so be careful. its really too bad pro-design did not make their product one size to run both foam and k&n
