Anyone have these pipes and are they good? How do they compare to Toomey's,DMC,FMF, and Pro-Circuit?Also, which would be the better pipe to get for all-around riding, the Midrange or Rev pipe, and will the Midrange take a lot of top-end? Thanks

I have the PT Mid Range pipes on my Banshee. Are they good? Heck yeah. I started racing MX on my Banshee 4 years ago. It was all stock at the time. When I was at Southwick, I would need to shift 2 and usually 3 times on the straights to keep stay in the powerband. Then I got the PT pipes and all that changed. I would then only need to shift once if at all on the straights (except the long one after the 1st turn). I have taken the Banshee on tight trails and it was so much better than stock. Still a ton of power (if not too much, but it is a Banshee) but riding along in and out of trees was so much easier it made it fun.

The way I describe the change in power is like this. Low end is greatly improved. To the point where you can almost lug the motor and pull hard out of it. Then mid range is now the sweet spot on the motor and will bring tears to your eyes. The top end gains some (from the increased flow) but seems less due to the awesome mid range, but it actually still pulls really hard on top.

When I had friends try my banshee out, they said it was a whole new machine from stock. Another good point with the PT mid range pipes is the location. You still have great access to the petcock and the motor. When my son was smaller he used to ride in front of me (with a helmet) as we putted around the sand pits. His feet would hang down, and with any other pipes that I saw, his legs would be in the exspansion chamber. But with the PT Mid Range, they did not stick out at all and I had not worries. So end result, I was very pleased with the PT pipes. For wide open running (sand dunes, hill shooting) I would go for the high rev, but for all around riding, they are great. Plus, when I called Duncan Racing for jetting help, they told me exactly what to set everything at. Ended up being spot on the money. Oh, get the chrome, they look nice and have held up for 3 years.

Forgot to say that the pipes would be for a Banshee. Is there still powerband with the midrange pipes? And what other pipe can the top-end be compared to? How are the hi-rev pipes, like Toomeys?

These are the only pipes that I have had on the Banshee besides stock.

Like I said, the low end is greatly improved, the mid range is eye watering and the top end still pulls hard. If you are looking for a serious top end pipe, like for hill shooting and running in the dunes, I would not get the mid range PT pipes. But for normal riding, these are great.

I have been able to hang with other Banshees with Toomeys off the start of a race and down the longer straights. But I have never been up against another Banshee in anything other than a MX race.

The Mid Range Paul Turner pipes are awesome for all-around riding. I have heard that the rev pipe will not greatly improve the bottom end/mid range but are more for top end. For MX racing and play riding, I cannot say anything bad about the PT Mid Range pipes.
