First of all, when I tried to take my flywheel off, the puller I used (the kind that Vito's sells)would thread in but when I turned the other bolt, the whole puller just stripped the threads and the whole thing came out. Is there any other type of puller I can use to take off the flywheel?

Then when I sat on my machine, I found out the swingarm had side to side/up and down play when I rocked the machine left and right. The pivot bolt and nut were tight. What's up with this?

If you stripped out the threads in the flywheel, it will be fun to get off. You might try a three jaw puller, but I can't remember if it will fit between the case. Spray a good penetrating oil on it such as Belray 6n1<--this stuff is awesome. As for the swingarm, your pivot bearing is out. Pivot works makes a kit that includes bearings, shaft, and seals.

What a mess! Did you run the flywheel puller all the way in, or only partially? If partially, and you are lucky, you can mess around with the puller and get the puller to accept the threads.....then screw the puller as far as possible, then try your luck again.
I can't recall if their is enough room for a 3-hook puller.....how much room is between the flywheel and case? Be careful not to get on the electricals that are underneath and on the upper right-hand side of the flywheel....that is if you can go the 3-jaw route.

Well, like Gary said if you stripped the threads then it is possible that you didn't have the puller all the way on which would be a good things as that would mean there may be good threads left. If you do decide to use a 3 prong puller be carefull not only becasue of the electrronics but you don't want to bent the flywheel whhich isn't very strong.

I have to ask, why are you pulling the flywheel???

I'm taking off the flywheel to put in a stock timing key, the one in there is advanced and I want to see if the stock one will make it run better, cuz whenever I have it WOT it starts to misfire.
