I just got my supertrappIDS2 pipe for my 97 Suzuki King Quad.In the directions it says something about the silencer retaining pin installation.What i need to know if installing the retainer pin is a must?If i dont use the retaining pin will it cause me a problem in the long run.Can someone please HELP me on this one.Thank you......Bob

 

King why would they put instructions on there to put the pin in there if it's not needed? I'd put it on there just because. It's kind of like saying well the ***** are all worn off my tires but since it still holds air it's good.

 

King, I know exactly which pin you are referring to. I just bought a IDS2 silencer for my Artic Cat and I didn't install the pin. I bolted everything together and it fit so tightly that I didn't see the need or purpose in it.
