I think the part # is different. I also think they changed the engine in some way to "bore" or something.

I would look into the year differences a little more. It may give you more choices of aftermarket parts. Sometimes, the only difference on the pipes is the mounting. I have an '86 YZ490 with an FMF Fatty Desert pipe that is supposed to fit '87-'92. I just had to order mounts for an '87. These were the metal tabs with a chunk of rubber between them.

Other times, the stock parts were different part numbers, but were interchangable. The aftermarket companies just did not make the effort to find out all the machines that a part would fit. I run V-Force reeds ordered for a TRX250R in my FL350R.

Of course, you would want to make sure the power characteristics of the pipe were what you wanted for your machine.

Power Pros makes a lot of pipes for companies that sell them as their own. You could find out if they make a pipe for your trike. One company that sells Power Pros is 4x4tuff. Go to the contact page to get the phone number and ask Marv to call Power Pros to see about a pipe. The biggest problem with Power Pros is you never know when they will get around to making your pipe.
