I have a 85 Suzuki Quadsport LT230S. I bought a Mikuni VM26/74 spigot carb and need help on the jetting. The modifications on my quad are a new cam with a .360 lift, a DG RCM pipe, a wiseco piston(.40 over) and I took the stock air box off and put a Uni filter on. Can somebody help me.

Thanks
Jerry Bean

It's often hard to comment on the right jetting , since often no two bikes are alike when it comes to mods.
Usually you can get it pretty close from the start then do some fine tuning to get it perfect. It is often time consuming trying to figure out what size main or pilot jet to start with.
With the mods you mentioned I would recommend starting with a main jet, about 2 sizes larger than stock with the needle in the stock position.
Go 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 turns out on the air screw .
turn the idle adjust screw in 1 full turn from when it first makes contact with the slide.
You should be able to start the engine and and have a decent idle to start with... From there you can start reading your plug to see what direction to go with next.
Probably when you are done, 'because of your mods' ....you will most likely end up with a much larger main jet and maybe even a notch up on the needle, but the steps above should get your fresh top end started pretty quickly.
