Hey, I am just starting to enter the motorsports world and have bought a new 2003 blaster! I have been trying to find out the best mods I can for it. I have done some research and have found that the toomey pipe is one of the best out there, and a pair of holeshot xc tires would really make a difference. Now I know that there are alot of other good mods for my blaster, but just don't know enough about them to know if I'm getting what I want!! I'm looking for better acceleration, top speed, and handeling. Please give me your opinion on what you think would be best.

If you have the money,a 2 or 3 inch swingarm makes a lot of difference,or a 2 inch extension piece for 120 bucks. Wheel spacers on the back will help, but for serious jumping,a wider axle would be safer.A big difference on the front handling is free, flip the rims around for a wider front end.A mototassinari Vforce reed valve set up will make a big difference in throttle response and power band. I don't know if you want to start tearing up a new motor until the warrenty is up,but getting rid of the TORS on the carb lets the slide open more, and gives you better idle control. I'm sure the Blaster fanatics out there have a lot more info for you,so congrats on a nice, updated brake(finally,Yamaha) quad.
