I have a stock reed cage and reeds in my '87 250R and am looking at buying either a Boyesen Reed Valve, FMF Ram Valve, or V-Force Delta Reed Valve. I was hoping anyone who has tried these or have them can tell me what they think are the best and if they even make a noticable power or torque difference at all. I race mx and need more bottom end power and torque, so I had my eye on the FMF Ram Valve.

Do a search for reeds or reed valves in this forum and you'll find a lengthy discussion on the 3 valves you've mentioned.

I asked the same question about 3 weeks ago and almost everyone said to go with the V-Force Delta, so I ordered on for my '88 25r. Do a search like the other post said.

don't go with fmf, it sucks i had one. i got more power out of a reed spacer and stock reed cage. i suggest you buy the boyseen rad valve with carbon fiber reeds and a reed spacer. i have that now and i have alot of low end power. i know the delta works great on a polaris but have no clue on a honda.

Go with the V force, I have had experience with all 3 and just switched from Boyesen to the V force. Dave
