clear coating polished aluminum?

would clear coating polished aluminum keep the geat shine without having to polish the aluminum?(using good quality car clear)

I would not reccomend clear coating i had my motor done and now its cracking i now stripped it down and use mothers polish and it looks great

Have the engine annodized clear. It will keep the alluminum shinny for ever. All you have to do is wipe it off.

no i dont want to anodize it because then it will turn out looking like the banshee stock aluminum rims(poo)i want to keep the shine(shine like douglas rims and etc etc)

I've seen anodized cylinders taht look very shiny. I all you really hav eto do is put a littel mothers on it and it will come back to life. Why anodize or clear coat?

Clear anodize would work fine but in a sandy situation it may develop a haze to the finish and also the rear rims are golden alodine not anodize.

97 Banshee with a lot of stuff
