i'm thinking of swaping a kx250 engine into my 2000 mojave. at first i was thinking of just getting a 330 FST kit but then i thought-hmmm it should would be nice to have 2-stroke power in my quad. and a lot more power! then i read a post by albaBANSHE and he said he put a 91kx250 in his mojave and it worked. albaBANSHE or ANYONE can you help me!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!! how many modifications to the frame, suspension etc. to make this work? will these be a very difficult project? and how much did you spend doing it? also will newer kx250 engines work? has anyone else performed engine swaps of anykind on the mojave? if so any help is appreciated by anyone. thanx alot!

That's flirting with disaster. Even if you do go through with the 330 engine you'll still have to update the rest of the quad to be up to par of the engine. But putting a KX250 engine in is nuts.

i had a 91 kx 250 frame in a mojave! you need to take your motor out, measure where it will mount nice and line up with chain the you need to weld the motor mounts to the frame and might have to do alittle cutting! the only prob i ran in to was that i mounted it closer to the front and it was reall harrd to put the pipe on so mount in right in the middle, and your best choice is a stock tooth rear sproket and a 1 tooth bigger front with turf tamer 20x10x10 tires and it prob ran faster than some piped shees!
i beat a few people when i went to walden to visit a friend!

what do you mean by cutting? i have to cut my frame? if thats the case i might not do this project. also did you run a stock pipe or an aftermarket one?
