I am really considering switching my DS over to one of the 2. I was wondering what the pros and cons of each where. And also there are no actual tuner shops here where I live and I more then likely will have to order parts from the net and ship my motor off if need be. But I dont know where the start and what to look for, so any help will be appreciated.

It's fairly easy to convert or attach another carb. I know of several places that sell bolt up alky carbs, but not for the DS. If I remember rite sudco.com has the convertion kits and carbs for the DS, call them.

Thanks wideload, I printed it outlast night and we did it today, now I just gotta get some alky and wait for my pipe to try it out. But it was a lot easir then I thought it would be, and you did a good job explaining it

 

Same thing !
Once you have an Alky Carb. you can go back to fuel with jet change, but not the other way.

 

Do you guys run oil in your methanol with the thumpers?

 

I feel you should run the top end lube in all motors running alky. Just my personal preference.Bubba

 

I figured the same thing, what mixture do you run on those thumpers? I only know 2 strokes, just curious is all

 

I believe it's 1/2 oz. oil per gallon of alky. I'm using Klotz Uplon. Directions are on label.
