2004.5 Sportsman 500 H.O. Electrical

I just put a new battery in my ATV. When I tried to start it and it didn't even register. I called the dealer and he said it might be the fusible link. Does any body have any answers?

Try disconnecting the ecm module under the front panel and plugging back in. Also do this with the speedo connector, plus check that it has 12vdc on the red pin of the speedo harness connector. If display doesn't work or crank up could be as the dealer said or the ecm module itself could be faulty as it has internal breakers. This was a transition year model(changed from a reg/rectifier to an ecm module),plus check if you have a sealed circuit breaker in a pouch in front of the battery and has power on each side of the red wire. Could be as simple as a corroded 20 amp breaker(if this model has one?) OPT
