Default Sportsman 500 EFI - Need new MAP SENSOR

Hey everyone -

I need to buy a new MAP sensor and I am really unsure of what this is. Ive googled it but get various returns. Can anyone show me a website to a place that will have it in stock so I can order it?

Thanks in advance.

Do you need the actual map sensor or the harness kit?? Sensors rarely go out(unless it's been tampered with),just the harness and connectors had problem for the most part. OPT

Is it a big price differential? I've been having idling issues, i think I'd rather replace the entire thing to be sure.

I only had to replace one MAP sensor out of all that I worked on because it was messed with and damaged! The two things that normally can cause idle problems is the grommet on the sensor itself, but 90% of the time it's the connector or harness. Polaris map sensor harness kits are junk(read the "sticky" on the 700 and 800 efi systems above this section) applies to the 500 efi also. I've replaced several with Polaris kits only to have them short out again! Here's the grommet("IF" needed) Item #20 Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
And here's the harness kit. http://www.otbpowersports.com/t-bap-info.htm
You can actually pull up the sensor gently and if the grommet isn't split, just order the harness kit. OPT

The efi problems applies to the 700/800 and 500. Look at the lower right corner, you'll see the 500 map sensor connector/harness. Only The Best OPT
