Oil for premix, and ratio?

Default Oil for premix, and ratio?

So my new top end will be finished tomorrow, and I was advised to premix the first tank, what oil should I use, and what mixture is reccomended?

id use maxima castor 927. then just run it the rest of the motors life. its liquid gold! um im not sure on ur mix though 32:1 would b my best guess. what is it going in though that makes a huge difference.

Trail boss 250. Oil injection is now working. Where can I pick some of that up at?

for pre mix you can use the castor 927 but for the oil injection ull want to use the castor super m injector. on were to get it i get mine from shawmut hills sales and service in Grand Rapids MI idk were ur located u should be able to get it at your powersports dealer or online at maxima oil.com stuff is amazing though run there oil in everthing from my quad, dirt bike, my ford ranger, and my dads diesel

I use the polaris brand oil in the injection tank

ok ya if your jus gunna pre mix the castor will be fine jus dont inject it.

I think a 40:1 mix would be better than 32:1. There is such a thing as too much oil.

Yes! We mixed brand new 250 and 300s out of the crate with a tank full of premix at 50-1 ratio using Polaris 2 stroke injector oil.It may smoke a little more than normal on this break in tank.If you're premixing and not using the pump 40-1 ratio is plenty enough for this low compression engine. The pump itself if it hasn't been tampered with is set around 50-1 from the factory.Even Wally World 2 stroke oil,Quicksilver,etc is ok to use but stay with one brand.You don't have to use expensive synthetic oil or so called "smokeless" oil as all oil does smoke,maybe a tad less on the synthetic.
