Default Polaris Scrambler 500 02

I have a polaris scrambler 500 and Im having clutch issues. I believe my secondary clutch is not opening up for some reason or another. The main clutch spins fine and moves the four wheeler but it will not switch over to the secondary clutch when I gain speed. Ive lubed everything . I jacked my quad up and let it run open while stationary and it does go to secondary clutch . Really not sure what to do from here.

Could be a broken spring tab, worn ramp buttons, helix wear. It has to be taken apart to check it out. Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse

Could you expand on the "helix wear" and when you say broken spring tab I assume you mean the spring in the middle of the primary clutch?

Several wear item parts in the rear clutch. The spring, ramp buttons and the helix that "ramps" up the buttons and opens the clutch. The clutch has to be removed and a snap ring removed from the rear to take the clutch apart. When you do ,if any pressure remains from the spring it will unwind! Ramp buttons have to be inspected/replaced,plus the helix needs to be checked out for excessive wear where it "rides up" on the ramp buttons. If the buttons are worn down to the metal, the helix could be damaged also.Once this has been done, then the spring has to be reinstalled in the helix and clutch body and "prewound" and the snap ring installed. If you're not familiar with this,it may be cheaper just to take the clutch off and let a dealer service it. Just unbolt it and it slides off.
