I guess you mean at least a 2000 model 325..The lower cam sprocket has a mark that lines up with the mark on the bottom of the engine case. This is tdc on the piston. Install the chain and position the cam lobes downward with the index pin slightly inward. You can move the upper sprocket and chain around(without moving the crank shaft) to where both lines on the upper sprocket are horizontal with the top of the head and the sprocket slips on the index pin. If you get off a tooth or two, just pull the sprocket back off and wiggle the chain around a tad. After the cam is secure, install the tensioner.

If it's a CHINESE atv you need to get help in that section of the forum..The 325 Polaris engine is made by Fuji and oil cooled..

The 325 Polaris is certainly not water cooled! It's oil cooled. The upper cam sprocket has TWO lines that align up parallel with the head..

You sure it's not a black finned oil cooler that looks like this? http://compare.ebay.com/like/300439918314?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar
