What I used was 0w40 and the "newest" 2w oil a lot of the time. The choice is yours as to use Polaris oil or Mobil 1,Amsoil 0w40 or even the "newer" 5w50 Polaris oil or other brands . I think almost ever dealer/tech I talked to about this did the same ,but did stock a few few oil change kits for customer pick up.Polaris heard a lot of dealer complaints about all the different oils they had to stock. Probably the reason they started simplifying all the different oil weights.

Use 0w-40 and call it a day, its sold everywhere. Polaris came out with 2w-50 because its their very own odd ball weight and they make you think you have to buy Polaris oil.

Polaris oil was 0w-40 for years and I put 4000 miles using 0w-40.
0w-40 only comes in synthetic.

Not sure about that , I only used Polaris 0w-40 or Amsoil.

This is what Polaris sold for years, if oil companies came out with a 2w-50 as well ,polaris would just call for their new made up (1w-45.06) and so on.

I use this now because its sold near by.
