Shredded belt on trail replaced with OEM now creeping

If you have to take the spider off to get at the one way bearing to clean it, it takes another special tool to buy , or make and it's on there with about 200 ft lbs of torque like the. Video says. It's not a hard job , but you need the right tools to get it apart. Once apart you probably want to replace any other wear parts while in there. Maybe you should bring it to someone and have them rebuild it for you......good luck.

so close yet so far away. thanks for all the info. I am guessing that it will probably be safer and less expensive to just go ahead and let someone else do the work. I really hate to because I have been pretty successful so far, with the help of this forum.. Every thing is in a hold pattern right now because Mom has a slight concussion and she is 79.. it's been a tough week but she is home, and I am with them and hubby is home with the bike... we'll get it going though. I will post more as soon as I can... I hate a thread without a happy ending... it's the girl in me... thanks guys, you never know I may tackle it on my own..i have an ebay credit.

Your thread does have a happy ending now that you know what you want to do.
you can always ask them to show you how they take the clutch apart so you can tackle it next time if need be.
I hope your mom is ok.....take care

thanks for all the help, I made a phone call this morning and the local ATV guy is going to charge me @ $100 bucks to remove the clutch clean it up and put it back on with my belt... it's worth it right now because of what is going on with Mom... but hopefully he'll let me hang out in the shop while all this is going on so I can learn a little about it all... I'll post results soon!

Hopefully when the belt strings are removed, new washers replaced, the clutch will operate okay. The rear clutch should be stationary at an idle or just barely trying to turn if everything is correct.
