Default Need ideas for obsolete part 3087064. Oil filler gauge/plug.

2001 polaris magnum 325 4x4. Oil filler plug/gauge is broke off on the top and it is partially cracked where it tightens to the motor. Everywhere I looked shows obsolete and not available. Is there any other part number that could be used that has the same threads? I don't care if the gauge reads wrong, just need something to properly seal the opening....OPT to the rescue!!

That's the part but I can't see how to click and buy. Need to log on my computer instead of phone to see details better. It also says on the top that this ssle is completed so it may have been an old listing. Thanks for the help!

There is a pic of the shop and if you enlarge it you see Willie's Cycle Salvage with the phone number 800-334-4045. Might be worth a call as the phone number references his web site at Home and is located in Camp Hill, Alabama.

talked with the dealer and we are trying the oil gauge filler plug from the 2003 330 Magnum. all other years are discontinued with no replacement. He is hopeful the threads will be the same but the length of the dipstick part may not be correct. The part number 3087128..OPT was there a casting change on that housing from 2001 to 2003 with the cc change?? Please tell me this plug will work...Thanks

That is the hopeful part from a different model and year. It is the same price from the dealer and if it doesn't work, they will take it back. Thanks for looking. the actual part is supposed to be 3087064....

Have you checked a parts micro fiche to see if the old part number was superseded to the new one?
