"someone has been messing with it before" I don't doubt it as parts were missing and the wiring a complete mess! It was practically given to us though so I'm not complaining.

The other quick question I had was regarding the Chaincase Lubricant. Do you recommend OEM Polaris brand or would any Chaincase Lubricant be sufficient? The service manual does not provide any weight specifications.

 

After 96 all models used Agl. You can use that or any good equivalent oil suitable for chain driven gear cases. Just no thick 75/90 oil. That's just suitable for differentials not gear cases.This might help.https://atvconnection.com/forums/gen...ght=chain+case
