Exclamation stuck choke, gas in oil?

98 scrambler 500 i took a few rides the other night and on the first ride i let the quad idle for probably 5-10 minutes while it lit up my campfire area, next few rides i noticed something didnt smell right..

checked my oil and sure enough i had gas in the oil(and not a little, looked like it raised the oil level at least an inch)took a look around and noticed oil/gas around the rocker cover and around exhaust, should this be a concern or is it "normal" because of the gas thinning the oil out...

and on to my main question, i noticed the choke felt loose like it was stuck on...would letting it sit running for 5-10 minutes or riding it with the choke stuck on be able to flood my crankcase??

I'd recheck float level along for any trash that might be under the float needle.Even if the choke is stuck it would take more that to put that much fuel in the oil tank. Plus if float pin or the float body itself is worn that the float pin rides in, the float itself can stick causing fuel to dump in the engine. Most people over look these two critical parts that take a lot of wear.

when i go to drain the oil/gas, should i just pump the rest out of the crankcase by starting in for a cpl seconds or would it be more advised to actually get under there and drain the crankcase with the actual drain plug? after i have changed oil and filter, should i let it warm up and circulate then drain again and new oil n filter again, as if im flushing any residual gas left over?

another thing, i didnt get an answer, will the severely diluted oil be the cause of oil/gas seeping out of rocker cover and exhaust header where it bolts to the head..is the oil just so thin it gets by???

If you have that much gas in it I wouldn't run the engine.. Drain the oil tank and then pull the sump plug. Fill with 2 quarts cheap oil and a cheap Fram oil filter from wally world. Run for 5-10 minutes and drain this out and put the good stuff in. I've seen leaking carbs destroy too many engines over the years. Hopefully the gas in the oil hasn't gotten to the piston and rings along with the cam and washed them down too much.

ok so i went out to get things ready, checked the oil and its level and isnt thin and gas smelly anymore...could the gas have sunk down into the sump, evap.? or when i checked my oil the other day after riding, it just showed the level high because the oil wasnt "settled"..i thought the oil couldnt go anywhere when the engine is off and in the oil tank...confused

welp, drained all the oil from everywhere, got just shy of 2 quarts out of the whole thing so im still stumped as of why my dipstick was reading way over full..oil was clean out the tank and the crankcase..
i took the whole tank off, cleaned the filter in the tank, put new clamps on the oil lines and put er back together..let it idle for 10 minutes or so, took it for a ride, got back and theres no drips no moisture no nothing..false alarm i guess, now i sit and wait for the snow(supposed to get up to 5 inches woohooo!)
