Tuffy on this one as the swing arm shock mounting is different on the Scramblers and even the 2003 Trail Blazer 400. Both the 400 and Scramblers use expensive gas shocks. Not saying it can't be done, but might be cheaper to check epi to see if they have a stiffer spring rather than switch shocks. I wouldn't trust a used one as most would have to be rebuilt and recharged anyway. I have the 2003 manual but doesn't give a heavy duty spring option in it. You can also check with a local dealer as they have the best optional spring listings for each model.

ok will try that, right now the rear shock is bad and the spring is good...I was told on my 2003 trailblazer 250 that I could use the scrambler 400 shock an all I would have to do is install it upside down... just sounds crazy to me,an your info has been spot on in my book!!!
i bought this one for my daughter
