Front end alignment won't do any good if other parts are worn out as many have found out. Every so often I jack up my machine and check for any slop or play in the front assembly and if there is any it gets repaired. Why spend hard earned money for equipment then not take care of it and let it become junk. As a boater I see that an awfull lot, boats sitting in peoples backyards with no cover and full of debris. Then on the rare occasion they decide to use it, they sit at the ramp wondering why it doesn't run, tying up the ramp so no one else can use it. I have seen the same thing at some riding areas, people get out a machine that hasn't been touched for many months or even years, take it to a ride area where it doesn't run then want everyone to help them fix their machine. ATV's and UTV's are like boats, they take a lot of maintenance to keep them working dependably when needed.

My son and I have found plenty of these type people at the lake. We'll launch his pontoon and on our way and they'll have the engine covers off scratching their heads. Like you said some take them straight out to the lake after sitting all winter, haven't been serviced and never tried to crank them before they even hit the water. We tried to help a couple, but quit wasting our time.

In my early years I was all about helping other people, even to the point of sacrificing my own time to help others. After some time I begin to realize that some people just don't care about their stuff until it quits working then want someone else to fix it for them. Well at my age I have gotten a lot smarter and now realize you can't fix stupid , no matter how hard you try! Just wish I would have learned this early on and saved myself a lot of frustration. Whether at the boat ramp or the riding area my stuff always starts right up and runs great due to the time I put into my equipment. When others say "boy I wish my stuff worked as good as yours" I just say back to them "all it takes is time and effort and a little money and it could be like mine" then just take off and leave them scratching their heads.
