Horsepower On Older Polaris

Horsepower On Older Polaris
All the newer Polaris have a horsepower listed in the engine specs. I have a 2001 Sportsman 500 HO and was wondering how much HP it has or had. I don't recall ever seeing at the time I bought it new.

35hp was what was listed on the Sportsman500,but the Scrambler showed 37.5 on a dyno at Aaen.
"Stock: Max HP: 37.5 @ 6600 RPM, MAX Torque: 32.9 Ft/Lbs @ 5400 RPM
Polaris claimed that the new 500 Scrambler would have as much power as their two stroke 400. We found this to be true, the stock model dynoed out with 37.5 HP @ 6600 RPM and 32.9 Ft/Lbs @ 5400 RPM." Here's their site.Aaen Performance - Polaris ATV 500
