Figured that would happen. Looked all over and the cheapest one I've found is at Part Shark.Polaris 2202603 - Kit, Ignition : Part Shark

Ya that's cheaper than partzilla. I guess I'll save my pennies and find a good weekend to do it

Once it's installed it will crank faster in most cases than they did when new because of the change to dci ignition. I still get a little miffed over this as Polaris should have stepped up and replaced these for customers and not sneak these updated kits in the middle of the night on the dealers and the owners. Good luck and keep us updated.

Will do but it might be a while before I get to it lol. And I'm sure I'll have questions down the road but I'll come back here for advise. Thanks for the help!

Hey I forgot to ask, while I'm doing this is there a high output stator or something I could do to run the extra lights and accessories I have on it?

No you're lucky that they at least have a better electrical system available to replace that crappy Ducati. Plus the alternator output is 500 watts @ 6000 rpms. That's not too shabby and is enough to handle most of accessories that you can throw at it.

You should be OK. For mine after the upgrade, I can have the lights on, have the fan running, and have my hand warmers on and still not have the battery light flashing...

No,NO,NO That's the one I said that was cheaper but used the Ducati lighting coil as the ignition source. I've had lighting coils go out also, then you'd be stuck! Get the Kokusan kit designed for it. #2202603
