Default 500 HO Electrical/Electronics/Warnings/Lights

Hello, I have a 2006 Sportsman 500 HO that has killed one battery and on its way to number two, flashes a battery light, service engine, then water sign,(coolant level is fine) then the speedo needle flashes and all in no particular order. While hunting I had to boost it with my other 500. No power issues, no smoking, but these seem to start flashing up after it warms up a bit. Did some research and thought it might be on the ECU recall but my machine not included. Where should I start the proctology exam....? I have read many posts that skirt this issue but not all. I have an 89 Silverado with a cracked smaller ECU unit that controls speedo, check engine light etc. Speedo tanks etc. when engine warms up. Am I thinking right ? Sending thanks in advance for any and all responses.

(I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find it)

If you have an 06 Sportsman 500 with the BLACK Chinese ecm that's never been replaced you might want to let this dealer look at this list..http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2008/...o-Fire-Hazard/ If somehow Polaris weasels out of this or it's been replaced already with the silver Surepower ecm, then the next one is out of your pocket. Not unusual for more than one failure. #2203348. The ecm controls charging, fan operation, hot light(can blink falsely if the ecm has failed),battery protection circuit, auxiliary equipment control, and solid state circuit breakers, etc. Imo too many things for this one module, but that's the way it is.
