At first, i'm not native, so my English is not perfect, so i'm sorry for all mistakes below

High gears in my ATV doesn't work at all, the reason is demaged high gear (pt. 37 number: 3233912). I need to raplace it, but the bigger gear is something like welded or pushed very hard (?) into shaft so i can't remove it ( i mean gear 38 : 3233971).

So, there is my question, how to remove the biger gear? With hyraulic press? Or heat it up and try to do something then?

Second issue is complete lack of rear brake, does brakes from other models like sportsman or magnum with higher cc will fit into this one?

 

The gear should just slide off,but you can heat it and see if that helps.Those little wave washers can weaken over time and cause shifting problems also along with the outer shift quadrant.You might want to look over it also as this guy did on hard shifting problems.Hard to Shift 700 Sportsman 2004 - Polaris ATV Forum The most common problem on the rear brake(if the caliper seals are ok) was the small rear master cylinder. Seals would harden and suck air because people didn't use the rear brake that often.You can get these aftermarket master cylinders cheap.Not sure about your location. So you said that gear 38 should slide off, but you mean slide off with little help of hydraulic press or just slide off with bare hands?

And maybe i used wrong words, when i was talking about lack of brake i mean that i don't have even single part of brake system, and i'm asking about parts compatibility from other models

Edit: And by the way i'm from Poland. But it is hard to find parts for polaris in here, so i probably will be forced to buy parts from USA on ebay

 

May take heat and a press to get the gear off if it's really tight. Not sure if you can use these sites on parts or not,but better if you can than trusting ebay on a lot of items.Polaris ATV Parts

You was right, gear slide off easily.

Now i need to buy all components of rear brake . Does for example parts from Sportsman will fit into magnum or not?

 

I think I can make things easier for you. Polaris Parts for your machine shows the part number needed. Scan over to the right on USAGE and click on it.It shows what machines (if any) use the same parts. Helps if you're tracking down used or even new parts.
