I'm wondering if I put a clutch kit and or sprocket change to get more hill climbing power. Pros ,cons, advice is much appreciated.thanks.

Do u think the 440 big bore kit is the way to go?? Reed change? Question being is it gonna give me enough to be worth it.. I grew up riding a 250r. I understand it's not gonna be that but I can still try.

 

The 400 Xplorer wasn't a racer quad that a 250r was,but you can improve response. I'd head for a clutch kit or just a simple spring change first and see if that is good enough for you.Even with a big bore kit it would just be a faster utility quad. I'd also give Rick Ritter a holler as he lives and breathes 400 engines.He can help on clutch springs,clutch kits and engine mods.Ritter Cycle Racing - FAST, NOT FICTION.
