2002 Polaris Magnum 325 Cold idle problems
#1
Does anyone have any tricks to starting and warming up a polaris 325 magnum? The quad starts up and then as soon as you let it idle it just dies. ive gone through the carb, as soon as it warms up it idles like a hot damn. i turned up the idle speed when it was cold, but then as soon as it warmed up it would just slam into gear it idled so fast. Anyone have any ideas or starting tips on how i could improve on this? Thanks.

Make sure you have only 1/8" slack at the thumb lever or the etc contacts can touch and the engine will die. Some early cold natured problems on the Magnum 325 and Trail Boss 325 were related to the fuel screw being set too lean and the choke had to be left on until the engine warmed up for it to idle and run right. If the block off plug has been removed check that it's at least 2-2 1/2 turns out from a lightly seated position. You can fine tune it further after the engine is warm.I've found several at only 1/2 turn out and one Trail Boss 325 with the fuel screw closed completely.
