Default 2001 xpedition 325 starter solenoid help

first off I am a new member and this is my first post I recently purchased a 2001 xpedition 325 and I needed a new starter solenoid so I purchased an aftermarket part now mine has 2 wires soldiered to it with a connector the new part has only 1 I purchased a manual and the electrical diagram says 1 wire goes to a diode and one goes to a light by my key switch so how does the new part wire in all the solenoids I have looked at have just the one wire any help would be much appreciated

Never worked on the Xpedition 325 that much but does show the green/white wire on the connector branching off and ties into another green/white at the gear position switch connector and from there goes to the neutral indicator light. It may not be needed for this new single wire solenoid. Hook the Red wire from the solenoid to the Red/White connector wire and make sure the solenoid body has a good ground to the battery box.

Try it and see.A green/white wire is already at the gear position switch connector and leads to the indicator. The new one lead solenoid may be able to do away with this second green/white in the two wire existing connector. If the indicator doesn't light up you may need to jump the green white to ground?
