I bought a 1997 Polaris 400 sport "parts bike" for $40 it was only missing the plastics brake master cylinder and coil I also have a trailboss 250 that needs top end but has spark so I took the stator cod and ignition coil and swapped them over and still have no spark I have disconnected the Jill's witch black wire with same result any help will be be well appreciated

 

Ignition timing is different between the EC38(400) engine and the EC25(250) engine. Don't use a stator and cdi from one to another as all you'll have is problems. Get a cheap manual for the one you want to rebuild.Polaris ATV Service Manuals PDF Download
