Hi all, quick question: My dad is looking at buying a used 800 in which the 4X4 won't engage when in standard 4X4, but does when the switch is pushed to ADC 4X4. The indicator doesn't come on, except when in ADC mode. I talked to my local Polaris dealer and they couldn't steer me in any direction at all. The owner says it's the switch/throttle on the handlebars, so before he buys this thing and orders a $250 switch that may or may not fix the issue, I would like some actual expert advice! Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

This was the most complicated front diff that Polaris came out with.Common problem was the plastic roller cage cracking which caused engagement problems. Another was electrical problems as either a coil in the outer cover could short or loose ground that would cause awd engagement problems.
