Default Choke Cable adjutment 250 Traiil Boss

hey guys. So my little 89' 250 Trail Boss project is moving forward. I replaced coil and CDI box to obtain spark. New petcock and fuel line installed. I rebuilt carb last night and have now come to reinstall the choke cable. I installed new enrichment jet on end of cable. Question I have is how do I adjust this to operate correctly? Thanks in advance

I have always adjusted it to where there is a tiny bit of freeplay(1/16 inch or so) in the cable and you will be good.

Hi - I just got my 87 running after a few weeks of restoration. I replaced my choke cable and the jet too and just made sure the plunger moved the correct distance. There are some very detailed pictures of the carb on the mikund website that I found useful. If u can figure out which air holes go where u can confirm the plunger is working properly.

I really struggled finding info on my 87 but got through it. Feel free to PM me with anything and perhaps I ran into a similar issue...
