Anyone using the HPD plain?

you can hardly tell an engagement difference vs. the stock, pretty much the same. Once it starts gaining RPMs, you can really feel it pulling. I like it alot, because i didnt want higher engagement, just more overall performance, if that makes since. that way it still works fine in mud, etc. but once you get on roads, fields, etc. you get what you want from it.

Increasing the spring rate will raise engine rpm from engagement to full shift, if your clutches are upshifting to fast and pulling the engine below it's powerpeak then a spring with a higher shift rate will help to correct this...

Hey guys first post here. Could someone please tell me what I have for stock primary spring I have a 99 sportsman 335 and need a little more pep at the lower rpm, I have to give it almost half throttle just to get it going. any help would be great!

The standard Ute spring is usually the blue/green one, a white or green will give higher engagement and carry more rpm through the shift range..... You may need a new belt, if the belt sets level or down in the driven clutch it's probably time for a new one. It should ride out of the driven clutch a 1/16"th or so...
