1999 Polaris Trailblazer 250 clunking noise
I have a 1999 polaris trailblazer 250 that always makes a "clunking" sound when i start to accelerate pretty fast. I have no clue what it is. I thought it could possibly be a loose belt so i got a new one and that didnt work. I have adjusted the chain and that didnt help either. Im not very mechanical so it may be an easy fix that im not seeing... please help!!!

Welcome to the forum! Possibly it could be the rear clutch ramp buttons worn down that are making the noise when it engages, plus did you check the front sprocket for broken or worn teeth and lube the chain up? A dry chain can have links that could be stiff and cause noise.Worst case scenario could be the internal chain in the transmission jumping teeth from too much slack. Have the easy things checked out first. OPT
