Yes. This just jumps the brown/white diff ground wire to a common ground(brown) before it enters the speedo.

ok, when I do that, then the AWD light doesn't appear on the dash, is that ok?

Then sounds like the brown/white isn't grounded good enough to the brown you selected or you need to jump to the main group of ground wires either on the frame or at the coil mount where ever they may be. Key has to be on,in gear, awd button engaged for the light to kick on. Just making sure on that one..

Is the brown/white wire the ground or the power for the coil?

i did redo the jumper wire down to a good ground where the battery is grounded to the frame and the light still didn't appear on when I turned the key on, in gear, awd switch on.

I also pulled the diff back out of the quad and pulled the side cover off and looked at everything inside again, I did see some more pieces of the carrier wedged in around the coil that I missed the first time.

random question.... I have the quad up off the ground on a stand, does it need to be moving for the was to engage?

The brown/white is the ground on most models. More pieces in the diff area may also be a problem. What other color wire do you have at the diff..?

i have the brown/white and a grey for the AWD coil and brown/red and a grey/red

Brown/red & grey/red are for the ADC coil
