Default Hard or Soft top

Just ordered some new items for my Rzr. New rocker bars, a headache net by mistake. Thought I was ordering a soft top but later found out it was a headache net instead. Picture on ebay was showing the Rzr with both the soft top and net. But I never new they were two diff. things till I ran across another auction showing the headache net specifically.

Thats what leads me to this topic. I am now looking to get a roof of some sort and want to hear opinions or views or experience with either the soft top or hard top do's and dont's.

Any advise would be appreciated.

I got the hard top for mine, just for the single fact that I will be using mine for deer hunting in the woods, and I could see the soft top getting ripped up by limbs and lasting about as long as a snow ball in you know what. Just my thoughts.

So I would think it would depend on where and what you ride in.

Know of two soft tops ripping from trailering. Polaris is working on a new design with less straps. I think the soft top looks nicer, but don't know about the ripping.

Personally, I prefer the soft top. Most times I don't care for a cover at all ( I like the Sun ), but having a top rolled up, and stored, on a ride incase I need it is great.
I have heard of quite a few people having problems with the Polaris top though. If they are redesigning thats great, but there are some other places selling them that look to be of better quality.

3/4 inch treated plywood works great and it makes a great spot to set a chair and watch for moose and caribou. Works great for carry extra gear to boot.
